06.01.09 - Champions League: Tickets sold out in 25 minutes
In Kiel the handball is a religion and the "Sparkassen-Arena" has never enough places for the handball "believers". The 700 tickets offered for sale yesterday for the semifinal first leg against Barcelona were selling off in 25 minutes!
The night was very, very long for the numerous fans of THW the day before yesterday. In fact, the 700 tickets still available were put up for sale yersterday morning at the ticket-office of the "Sparkassen-Arena" in Kiel. To be sure that they wil get their tickets, the fans and the future spectators of a great show arrived at 18 o´clock there.
Equipped with blankets and sleeping bags, because the temperature is still low during the night in Northern Germany, they spent the whole night in front of the ticket-office. The result: 25 minutes after the opening time the ticket-office was out of stock, a new record in the history of the club!
Anyway, there was not even the smallest doubt that the atmosphere during the match Kiel - Barcelona on Saturday will be a red-hot one...
