A quarter of an hour against Toulouse was sufficient for Luka Karabatic to be enlisted in the big history of handball. He became French champions in Montpellier, the club where his brother "blew up".
- Tell us about the game.
"Actually, I shouldn´t be in the roster against Toulouse, but Patrice Canayer decided to enforce with two, three players from the first squad the second team of the club who plays in the third league. So I moved up in the first team and I took advantage to participate to such a match. And I am super happy that I lived this experience."
- A domestic title six months after your debut in handball in Montpellier, what do you want more?
"Nothing, everythink is okay, thanks. I am happy for every win. I am not one of the big artisans of this title, but I made a contribution to this success."
- How does it look your schedule from now on?
"Now I am in Mulhouse for the French Cup´s Final Four. I didn´t play today against Irvy (34:32 for Montpellier), but I am in the roster. So, if Patrice needs me tomorrow, I will be ready to help. Then, we have two games in the domestic league with the first team and others two with the third league squad. After it, during Niko will be in the training camp with les Bleus, I will be also in a training camp, but with the junior team. And I hope I will take part to Euro."
- How did Nikola react after your performance?
"Evidently we called each other very fast. He was super pleased for me. He wished himself so much to be there with me that evening, but he played against Lemgo. Concerning me, I would like to be there for him for the end of the season in Bundesliga and for the Champions Leage final, but I have also a charged end of the season. So I will follow him very closely, in front of the TV."
- What about your future in handball?
"I remain in the training centre of Montpellier. I still have a lot to learn."
