
06.01.09 - Luka will fight for bronze
The "small" les Bleus will play today, at half past two in the afternoon Sweden in the match for the third place counting for the Men’s U 20 European Championship, in Bucharest, Romania.
Unfortunately, France didn´t reach the final, being defeated by Denmark, 25:24 in the semifinal. Branko Karabatic, the man in charge with the goalkeepers´ preparation in French´s junior squad, admited that the competition is even so a success, even if the defeat in the semifinal let a bad taste in mouth. A reason in plus for the French players to try to end the Euro pleased, with a medal around their necks.
Concerning Luka, he accumulated enough playing time and above all, a lot of international experience by his first big competition. "I have a lot of fun being on the court and since I have had the chance to play regularly, I give everthing I am able to, to help the team. Besides, the atmosphere in the squad is really good. We will keep only good memories from this Championships and if we are able to catch a medal, it will be genial ", said Luka a couple of hours before the final for the third place.
As for the repose, Luka will have to wait. Actually, as soon as they will arrive in Montpellier, the players from MAHB (Di Panda, Accambray, François-Marie, Pongerard, Andry and Luka) will join the first team´s workouts...
