"More than this, I feel myself too good. My father comes, he will spend a couple of days here and we are German champions. What can I wish myself more?"
- Tell us about the game on Wednesday against Göppingen and what happened after it.
"We have played extremely good, we all had an enormous desire to win. We didn´t want to count on blooper of Flensburg or to wait the last game at home to be champions. We wanted this win and we got it, in a beautiful manner. After the match we met in hotel, we had dinner and we go out to have a glass in a bar. Well, we must admit that Stuttgart doesn´t offer a lot of possibilities to go out on Wednesday. Anyway, we truly celebrated it. "
- Is it the defeat in Champions League forgotten?
"No, I can´t affirm that I forgot the defeat, but I can better rank it. With the benefit of hindsight I said to myself that this season was enormous. Can you realize it, since I have been in Kiel I won three times the domestig league, two times the German Cup, one Supercup, one time Champions League, without to mention my European Championships title with les Bleus. So, evidently, I regret the blackout in the final, but this upset can´t absolutely not ruin our joy and our remarkable saison."
- How will run the next days?
"I will go straight away to training. Video session and handball. Well, I hope it will not take too long, because I have such a big desire to spend some time with my father.
Thereafter, tomorrow, it will take place the last match of the season against Wetzlar. We will have a giant celebration. We will play as seriously as possible, we will win for our public and afterwards we will party: in the hall and on the town hall square in Kiel. I feel it will be titanic!
On Sunday evening we will organise together a farewell dinner for
Mattias Andersson and Viktor Szilagyi. On Monday, very early in the morning, I will drive to Montpellier. I will repose one day and on Wednesday I will join the French Nationalteam in Capbreton, to prepare the Olympic Qualification Tournament. My next aim."
