In 1993 Noka Serdarusiuc was named coach in Kiel and since then this club has won 11 times the domestic league, five times the German Cup, three times the EHF Cup, four times the German Supercup, Champions League and the Champions-Trophy, both in 2007. Even if we like or not, this coach, maybe the best in the world, was the main reason why Kiel was so succcessfull in Germany.
Noka´s teams, especially the one from the last two season, were very close to perfection and everybody expected Noka to be perfect, forgetting that no one of us can reach this ideal. The most important, he won the respect of his players, no matter to what generation they belong. And that´s just everything what a coach wishes and that shoud count more than anything else in sports.
"The thought that I will have to leave this team someday, almost breaks my heart", has Noka told for a couple of weeks. A lot of us feel the same.
