THW Kiel was today evening not that team that 16 from 18 coaches from the Bundesliga team see again as champions at the end of the season. The defence didn´t work most of the time and in attack the number of technical mistakes and missed shots was clearly bigger than those of the actions which leaded to goals. Not even a trace about the beauty of those actions...
It was 14:13 after 30 minutes for the hosts after a very balanced first half. The next 30 minutes brought the hope of a considerable win after Zeitz (2 goals) and Ahlm turned a 20:19 in their favour into a 23:19 (43.). But this score was nothing else but the biggest margin that the German Champions could obtain tonight! Within 4 minutes to go, Filip Jicha scored for 26:23, but Dormagen equalised. It remained two minutes to play. Lövgren brought his squad in front (27:26) and then served Marcus Ahlm for 28:27. There were 36 seconds left and the spectators were practically frightened. And they had all the reasons to be worried: Dormagen took out his goalkeeper, played with 7 field players and got a 7 m shot, transformed by Maciej Dmytruscynski. Worse than this could have been only a defeat...
